Residing in both Darien, IL, and his cabin in the north woods of Wisconsin near Eagle River, Johnny Amato is a guitarist and singer, songwriter and producer, recording and mixing engineer, multi-instrumentalist, and avid nature photographer. He is the lead guitarist and lead singer of BasketCase Chicago, and the guitarist and singer in The Johnny Amato Band.

Most of the pictures at his site come from the north woods near the cabin, random areas in the state of Wisconsin, northern Illinois, and the Michigan U.P.
